The Amethi district magistrate on Tuesday directed officials of the administration to redress public grievances between seven to fifteen days.

District Magistrate Jagat Raj Tripathi said this while presiding over 'Tehsil Divas' and directed concerned officials to be present compulsorily in their offices for the redress of complaints, and maintain quality and transparency. The divas was held at the district head quarters, Gauriganj, and Tripathi asked officials to redress public grievances within one week and if not possible, he said, it must be resolved within fifteen days.

As many as 196 cases were recorded on the 'Tehsil Divas' and only 11 were redressed on the spot. The DM warned the officials of irrigation and revenue departments of action, if pending problems related to their departments were not resolved in a month time. He also asked every one to record all the complaints which were being put in the tehsils.
