New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Monday confirmed that a blast took place in the Israel embassy car. However, the police refused to comment if it was a terror attack.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Delhi Police Commissioner B K Gupta said that the blast was triggered using a device, which according to eyewitnesses, was a magnetic one.

The device was placed at the rear of the car, said the police commissioner.

The police commissioner further said that the lady who got injured in the car is the wife of an Israel diplomat working at the defence attaché, adding that three other people suffered superficial injury.

According to Delhi Police, bike borne attackers carried out the blast.

A car belonging to the Israeli Embassy had caught fire after a minor explosion in ear the embassy building in Tughlak Road.
