They should also know about the technical aspects like the importance of lighting options and furniture,” she said. Interior designers can take up small-scale and big assignments depending on their experience and expertise. They will be on demand at commercial complexes, star hotels, airports and shopping malls. They can do interiors for homes, offices and even work as colour and light consultants. “You can also specialise in landscape, bath, kitchen, furniture, accessories or commercial space. Another area that provides a lot of openings is entertainment industry and media. You can work at serial and film sets creating and altering the interior as per demand,” she said.
