Deputy CM to hold meet on College Fee Tuesday

HYDERABAD: Deputy chief minister and minister for higher education C Damodara Rajanarasimha will hold a meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday with all the stakeholders to discuss the implications of the High Court verdict on the structure of tuition fees in professional colleges, and will place the outcome of the deliberations before the chief minister who will take a final decision on going in an appeal to the Supreme Court or not.The High Court, while, scrapping the management quota and the uniform fee structure in professional colleges, held that fixing different tuition fees for convener and management quota was unconstitutional since management-quota students were expected to subsidise the fee of convener-quota students.
