As the second phase of Odd-Even scheme came to an end, taxi aggregators Uber and Ola brought back surge pricing, a move that was strongly objected to by the Delhi Government.
While Uber maintained that it is a temporary measure, commuters and government are not happy with this.
The Ola App also showed notifications saying peak-time charges may be applicable.
However, Ola tweeted that there was no peak pricing on their platform in Delhi NCR.

App-based cab services Uber and Ola had hiked prices by at least 3 times during odd-even phase 2.
Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia lauded the odd-even scheme. He, however, said that surge pricing is not allowed by the law and those firms which flout norms will be penalised.
When contacted by CNN-News18, Uber declined to comment. Transport minister Gopal Rai had told CNN News 18 that the government is working on a specific policy for app-based cab services.
The Delhi government had cracked its whip on these companies on the first week of the second phase of odd-even after Kejriwal termed the concept as "daylight robbery". The authorities had also impounded cabs for overpricing.
