New Delhi: Days ahead of his release, it is unlikely that the juvenile rapist in the Delhi gangrape case will be booked under the National Security Act (NSA) to prevent his release.

Police was informed that NSA can't stand in court because no offence is made despite an Intelligence Bureau (IB) report that he may have been radicalised in jail. This has been conveyed to the Ministry of Home Affairs which has been asked by Delhi High Court to submit an affidavit along with the Intelligence Bureau (IB) report.

According to reports, legal cell along with lawyers have told police that NSA detention of suspect can be challenged in court. While the IB report only mentions that suspect has been radicalised on basis of few intercepted calls, no concrete evidence has yet been found against the juvenile.
