THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Guru Gopinath Natanagramam is hosting an exhibition on National Dance Museum and Natanagramam dance fest on the Kanakakunnu Fair Ground and Nisagandhi Auditorium from November 18 to 27. Transport Minister V S Sivakumar will inaugurate the exhibition at 10 a.m. on Friday. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the dance festival on November 23 at 5.30 p.m. The fest will be held from November 23 to 27 at the Nisagandhi Auditorium. The function will be presided over by K Muraleedharan MLA. Cultural Affairs Minister K C Joseph, Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar, Mayor K Chandrika, Shashi Tharoor MP and Soorya Krishnamurthy will attend. Performance of various artistes at the dance fest will be held at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on all days. On November 23, Guru Gopinath Nadanagramam will perform Kerala Nadanam followed by Rajendra Gangani’s 'Kathak.’ On November 24, Kannur Folklore Academy will perform 'Irula Nritham’ and Lavanya Anand will present Bharathanatyam. 'Duryodhana Vadham’ kathakali by Margi and Kerala Nadanam by Gayathri Subrahmaniam are slated for November 25. Guru Gopinath Nadanagramam’s Seethankan Thullal’ and Maithili Prakash’s Bharanatyam are scheduled for November 26. On November 27, Meenakshi Sreenivasan’s Bharathanatyam and the performance by Tharang will be there. In connection with this, a national handicraft mela and consumer fest are also organised till December 3.
