New Delhi: Cricketers will be on sale soon, when auctions begin for the Indian Premier League(IPL). IPL Chairman Lalit Modi visited Kolkata to discuss the upcoming bidding process for players on Monday.
Modi, alongwith representatives from Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment inspected the Eden Gardens, before settling down to a long chat with CAB officials and Sourav Ganguly, who is the captain of the Kolkata team.
The bidding for the players is slated for February 20 and each team will be allowed a maximum budget of $5 million to purchase their players.
Teams can have a maximum of four foreign internationals playing at the same time, and each team must also have a minimum of four local players.
