Court awards 4 brothers life imprisonment over 2011 murder case

Four brothers were on Wednesday sentenced to life imprisonment by a local court in a 2011 murder case.

Additional district judge S N Tripathi held the accused guilty and also imposed a penalty of Rs 41,000 each.

In August 2011, Ravindra Singh was assaulted by Mahendrapal and his brothers Badshah, Nanhe and Pappu in Dheemarpura village over a monetary dispute.

When Ravindra's father Dwarika Prasad attempted to intervene, he too was assaulted and he later died during treatment.

Ravindra had lodged an FIR at Dataganj police station in this connection.
