BHUBANESWAR: Bhubaneswar District Congress Committee (DCC) staged a demonstration in front of the office of Additional District Magistrate here demanding resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.DCC president Pratap Jena said that the Chief Minister had no right to continue in office with corruption at all levels including the multi-crore mining scam, irregularities in the procurement of pulses for mid-day meal (MDM) scheme, the land scandal and linkage coal scam.Criticising Naveen for the failure of the State Government to properly implement the welfare schemes launched by the Centre, the Congress leaders alleged that the law and order situation in the State had deteriorated during the 11-year rule of BJD. They warned that the Congress would launch a State-wide agitation if the Chief Minister did not resign taking moral responsibility for the scams.Former president of the Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) Sarat Patnaik, working president Lalatendu Bidyadhar Mohapatra, State Chhatra Congress president Chinmoy Sahu, OPCC vice-president Sibanand Ray and senior leaders were present.
