Congress rout in UP fills TRS with new hope

HYDERABAD: Though the BSP of Mayawati, who pressed for division of Uttar Pradesh into four smaller states, lost power in the Assembly elections, the separatist party here, Telangana Rashtra Samiti, sees a silver lining in the poll outcome for Telangana.The TRS believes that the Congress, having bitten the dust in Utttar Pradesh, now cannot take the Telangnaa issue lightly any more as there are 17 Lok Sabha seats from the region which the Congress would need badly in 2014.The TRS has been supporting Mayawati at the national level because she  favoured creation of smaller states and openly extended support for the Telangana cause.
