Come out of fear; Moily tells BCs

BANGALORE: Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily on Saturday said Havanur Report is a bible to people belonging to backward classes (BCs).Speaking after inaugurating the ‘L G Havanur Endowment Lecture’ organised by Karnataka State Law University on Saturday, he said that the report given by Havanur Backward Classes Commission is a weapon for deprived classes. In many cases, backward classes people have fear. “There is a need for them to come out of this fear,” he said. Moily said that he had faced opposition while accepting Chinnappa Reddy report on social justice when he was the chief minister.Karnataka State Law University Vice Chancellor J S Patil and Chairman of the Karnataka State Bar Council Anandkumar Appu Magadum were present on the   occasion.
