MYSORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said that he would tour Bellary rural constituency for five days to ensure the victory of its BJP candidate in the by polls. Claiming that the BJP candidate Gadi Lingappa will win the polls against independent candidate B Sriramulu and other rivals, he said that he along with other Cabinet ministers will campaign for four days in the constituency.When asked about sitting MP Santha and ten other MLAs campaigning for B Sriramulu, he said that state president K S Eshwarappa is camping in Bellary and will take a decision in this regard.When asked about appointment of the new Lokayukta, the chief minister said that he has recommended a name and has also replied to a clarification sought from the Governor’s office. He clarified that the state government has followed all procures on the lines of the previous government in the appointment of a new Lokayukta.He said that the government will take legal action against the Belgaum deputy mayor and others who are against kannada culture. Sadananda Gowda said that he had sought a detail report from Bangalore Police Commissioner on fire at BBMP office. The government would take stringent actions if the fire his set by vested interests to destroy records, he added.
