The award recognises the creative writing talent of school students.

Mumbai: The second Iceplex AD Film Awards (IAFA) was organised by the Ryan International Group of Institutions in Mumbai last week. The awards recognise the 'creative writing and conceptualising' skills of school students.

The event saw cultural performances of music, song and dance organised by the Johny Lever Ryan Film Academy.

Speaking on the occasion, Grace Pinto, Managing Director, Ryan International School said that IAFA offered students a platform to showcase their talents.

"It is difficult to make an advertisement as complete information needs to be given in the shortest possible time. This contest does not focus on the technical expertise of the ad film maker but on the capability to ideate," said Pinto.

The members of the awarding jury included Justice B H Marlapalle, producer Manmohan Shetty, Bhimsain, singer-actor Ila Arun, film critic Bhawana Somaaya, Anil Sharma and actor Johny Lever who is also the brand ambassador of the IAFA.

Salman Khan, the winner of Dance India Dance Season 1 also made a special appearance at the event.
