While Karnataka rejoices after the Supreme Court verdict, which allocated it an additional 14.75 TMC of water, Tamil Nadu’s opposition parties are gunning for the AIADMK government and CM E Palaniswami. Leaders like TTV Dinakaran, MK Stalin and Anbumani Ramadoss have all said that Tamil Nadu farmers and the citizens of the state have been cheated by the government as it has not fought the case properly. A jubliant Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah is currently reading out the state budget 2018-2019. The Supreme Court on Friday said that Karnataka will get additional 14.75 TMC of cauvery water, Tamil Nadu will now get 177.25 instead of 192 TMC water. The court considered the water scarcity in Bengaluru while delivering the Cauvery judgment and also said no deviance shall be shown by any state to the order.
