Caught on camera: Doctor thrashed by patient's family for delay in getting ambulance

In a shocking instance of lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh, a doctor was thrashed by unidentified men in Sitapur. The doctor was thrashed after a hospital ambulance failed to reach a patient on time.

The assault was caught on camera. The family members of he patient dragged the doctor out on the road and started beating him brutally.

The police have said that an FIR has been registered against the five accused, who can be seen beating up the doctor, under relevant sections of the IPC.

The doctors and nurses have gone on strike against the assault on the doctor and are demanding more protection.
