New Delhi: On the last day of filing nomination for the one day election to the 70-member Delhi Assembly on Wednesday, the national capital will witness numerous road shows of Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party. While the roads are likely to witness huge traffic jams during the day, many candidates in order to ensure their victory have also consulted astrologers to know about the most auspicious time to file their nominations.

As most of the candidates believe in astrology, they will file the nomination during an auspicious time for their success, which is before noon on Wednesday.

An astrologer who advised some of the candidates said leaders will hardly be seen after 12 noon as Rahu Kaal will begin which is considered inauspicious for starting any new work.

In Hindu mythology, Rahu Kaal is one of the 8 segments of the day and considered inauspicious period in Indian astrology due to associated with malefic, Rahu.

Rahu Kaal will be for two hours, from 12 to 2 PM and as one can file nomination only till 3 PM, most of the candidates will do it in the first half of the day.

Congress candidate Madan Khorwal from Karol Bagh said, "I have myself found the muhurat for the nomination. I don't need any pandit. It is based on Rahu Kaal and everyone wants to avoid it."

Unlike Khorwal, his BJP rival Yogendra Chandoliya refused to divulge details about his nomination and said, "The road show will begin from 10 AM from the party office."

It will also be interesting to see that candidates of the opposite camps will be present at the Sub-Divisional Magistrate's office at the same time to file their nomination.

Candidates have so far remain silent on their campaign strategy and various methods that will be deployed to garner maximum support, will finally go all out from Wednesday.

Delhi which has so far not seen much election colour for the February 7 poll, is likely to witness numerous rallies, jan sabhas, nukkad natakas, door-to-door campaigning and much more. It will be known only on February 10 if the auspicious time for filing nominations has worked.
