BANGALORE: Describing the allegations of tax evasion and fraudulent acquisition of a cement company against him and his family members levelled by the Opposition leader Siddaramaiah and state JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy as baseless and malicious, Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said that he would file a defamation case against both the leaders.
"There is a limit to tarnish a person's image. There is not an iota of truth in the allegations of tax evasion on my family members as said by Siddaramaiah. Similarly, the charges made by Kumaraswamy against my sons and daughterinlaw about the acquisition of a cement company are far from true. I have decided to file defamation suits against both of them," Yeddyurappa said, while speaking to the media here on Wednesday. According to Yeddyurappa, the attempt of Kumaraswamy to release the socalled details of a scam at Delhi was a diversionary tactic to distract the public from the 2G, CWG and Adarsha housing society scams of the UPA government regarding which the BJP is launching a campaign on Thursday.
