Dortmund: Brazil recalled its regular starters on Tuesday for its second-round World Cup match against Ghana.
Defenders Roberto Carlos and Cafu, midfielders Emerson and Ze Roberto, and striker Adriano were back after sitting out Brazil's final first-round match against Japan.
Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira made five changes to the team against Japan to rest some of the starters and give more playing time to the reserves.
Brazil had already secured a second-round berth.
Many in Brazil had called for Parreira to keep some of the second stringers in the starting lineup after they performed well against Japan.
However, striker Robinho, who started that game, wasn't available because of a thigh injury.
Cafu will be playing in a Brazilian record 19th World Cup match, beating the mark of 18 set by Dunga and Claudio Taffarel.
Also, Parreira will move up to fourth on the list of most matches coached at the World Cup, also with 19.
Ghana coach Ratomir Dujkovic brought in Eric Addo for suspended star midfielder Michael Essien, and put 20-year-old Asamoah Gyan in attack with Matthew Amoah.
Reserve midfielder Haminu Draman kept his place after scoring against the United States in Ghana's last group game.
Veteran defender Samuel Kuffour remains out of the starting lineup, while Emmanuel Pappoe returned after sitting out the past two games.
Key midfielder Sulley Muntari returned from suspension.
