Melbourne: Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza will be looking to clinch the mixed doubles title at the Australian Open on Sunday when they take on Andy Ram of Israel and Natalie Dechy of France in the final at Melbourne.
Bhupathi and Sania have had a great run so far at the tournament, winning three of their four matches in straight sets.
They had reached the final at last year's Australian Open too and will be looking to make up for the defeat.
Bhupathi and his Bahamian partner Mark Knowles on Saturday lost in the final of the men's doubles to Bob and Mike Bryan in a three-set final. The Bryan brothers of the USA won 2-6, 7-5, 6-0 after over an hour long battle.
Sania was beaten in second round of the women's singles by Nadia Petrova of Russia in straight sets 3-6, 2-6.
In the women's doubles Sania her American partner Vania King lost to and Vera Dushevina of Russia and Olga Savchuk of Ukraine UKR in three sets 6-4, 1-6, 1-6.
Earlier on Saturday, Yuki Bhambri created history becoming the first Indian to win the Australian Open boys singles title.
Bhambri defeated Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas of Germany in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.
He came into the Australian Open as the top seed and is the only Indian to win a Junior Grand Slam after Leander Paes won the Wimbledon in 1990 and the US Open in 1991.
