HYDERABAD: Charging one Ahmed Qureshi, a resident of Moti Mahal, with indulging in slaughtering of cows, few youngsters, posing as policemen, stripped him and later attacked him before forcefully snatching Rs 60,000 cash at Kulsumpura on Sunday. Around 7 a.m, Qureshi was returning home in an auto after purchasing nearly 200 kg beef at Kamatipura slaughter house. Qureshi owns Bismillah Beef Shop at AC Guards. Suddenly, some youths intercepted the auto in which Qureshi was travelling. The attackers, after introducing themselves as police, brought the auto to Musi. "Here, some of the youngsters attacked Qureshi and auto driver Abdul Kadir. Later, they stripped off Qureshi and threw the beef into Musi,'' Kulsumpura police said. While attacking, the assailants alleged that Qureshi was indulged in slaughtering of cows.Meanwhile, police are suspecting the role of a corporator who was allegedly involved in communal clashes that broke out in Old City last year.
