New Delhi: Like millions of cricket fans, Ramdev too is irked by Indian team's ouster from the preliminary round of the World Cup. Slamming Indian cricketers for losing the match and doing high-profile cola endorsements, Ramdev said that a ban should be put up on soft drink advertisements that feature cricketers.

"India's ouster from the World Cup may have shattered the dream of sports lovers in the country but it benefited crores of children as far as their health is concerned," said Ramdev at a press conference in Jharkhand.

The children see cricketers as idols and try to follow their footsteps, he said while urging the BCCI to bar cricketers from advertising "harmful" soft drinks.

"Such advertisements will have a bad effect on the health of crores of children in the country," Ramdev claimed.

He also advocated the introduction of yoga in schools rather than sex education.

After battling with a number a controversies and allegations, Ramdev continues to create sensation with his remarks every now and then. The yoga guru is now planning to visit Scotland for the first time to teach yoga to thousands of people at a mass workshop which would be broadcast around the world.
