CHENNAI: The trial in the auditor Radhakrishnan case commenced before a Sessions Court in Chennai, on Monday. City-based auditor Radhakrishnan, attached to the Sankara Mutt in Kanchi puram, was assaulted on September 20, 2002. The Foreshore Estate Police registered a case against Kanchi Mutt senior pontiff Jayendra Saraswathi and 12 others. They were, however, granted bail subsequently. The last accused -- Appu alias Ravi Subramaniam -- turned approver in the case and was still in judicial custody.When the trial began before the I Addl Sessions Judge S Kalavathi today, all the accused except Jayendrar appeared. The judge posted the case for further hearing on March 9. The judge rejected the bail plea from Appu alias Ravi Subramaniam.
