HYDERABAD: For the first time in the country, an all-India Central Call Centre has been inaugurated in Hyderabad on Wednesday by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) to render round-the-clock services to bus passengers from anywhere in the country. Customers can call the CCC on 3377 3377 from across the country without dialling Andhra Pradesh’s code, that is, 040. The CCC will attend to passengers’ grievances via calls, mails, SMSes and also issue bus tickets through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Complaints on cases like accidents, breakdowns and buses not turning up on time at bus stations will be taken. 200 local call centres in bus stations across state have been set up in the past after which RTC sold 50,000 tickets more daily. The CCC would also help curb the private bus transport system, he said. RTC vice-chairman and managing director B Prasada Rao who inaugurated the call centre said, “A team of officials will get feedback from passengers daily and bring changes according to their demands.” He added that RTC operates 22,000 buses and carries 1.5 crore passengers everyday and it is its responsibility to ensure comfortable travel to all of them. APSRTC has been working with Abhibus Technology company to develop the CCCs.
