HYDERABAD: Brushing aside criticism that it was not proper for him to launch a tirade against the chief minister, who is none other than the leader of the Congress Legislature Party, from the CLP office itself, the irrepressible former minister P Shankar Rao continues to attack Kiran Kumar Reddy, perhaps with more vehemence.“Who is going to stop me? If the CLP locks up the media conference room, people will break the heads of CLP members,’’ he thundered.“I have every right to address a press conference at the CLP office. No one can prevent me. The CLP leader and the CLP executive are nominated to their respective positions. They were not elected by the members of the CLP,” he said in support of his argument that the CLP had no powers to impose restrictions on him.Shankar Rao became more belligerent following chief minister’s warning that those crossing the Lakshmana Rekha would be punished. “The chief minister had sacked me from his cabinet. He is now saying that he will take action against DL Ravindra Reddy. If he does that, he will have to face similar action from the party high command.’’ Shankar Rao once again came down on Kiran Kumar Reddy saying that he had no leadership qualities and could not get even one sarpanch elected from his Pileru constituency in Chittoor district. “I am not a liability to the party. The only liability is Kiran Kumar Reddy,” he said.
