HYDERABAD: The All India Congress Committee is learnt to have entrusted PCC president Botcha Satyanarayana with the responsibility of bringing the warring Telangana and Seemandhra Congress leaders to sense and peace.According to sources, the AICC directed the PCC president not to spare any effort and prepare both groups for discussions on their demand. AICC shift the centre of activity to PCC office.Acting immediately to implement the high command’s orders, the PCC president held two meetings with MLAs and ministers from Telangana in the last two days. In the coming few days he will hold another meeting with Congress MPs from the region. Karimanagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar has demanded that the PCC chief and the chief minister hold talks with the MPs who resigned. Later, the PCC president will invite Seemandhra Congress leaders to discussions. After completing the first round of discussions, the PCC chief will submit his report to the high command and take further action as directed by the central leadership of the party. He will also attempt to hold a meeting between leaders of the two regions.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy is likely to undertake district tours on July 24 and 25 and the PCC president will endeavour to tackle the issue of the resignations of Telangana MPs and MLAs by that time.
