BANGALORE: After triggering the growth of the IT and the Biotechnology sectors in the country, the state is all set to host the two-day global agri-business meet which is expected to boost the agrarian sector in the state.The two-day event, which will be held on December 1 and 2, is the first of its kind in the country and will be inaugurated by Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre today.Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, former CM B S Yeddyurappa and scientist Dr K Kasturirangan will be among those present.Addressing newsmen here on Wednesday, Agriculture Minister Umesh Katti informed that the state expects to sign MoUs with several companies during the meet.
