After IPL ban, Bhajji may face ban from BCCI
It seems BCCI is tired of backing Bhajji and his countless controversies.

New Delhi: Now that he has shaken hands and accepted his fate, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will be hoping that over the next month or so he can stay away from the arclights and introspect.

But the offie will have no such luxury for a combative BCCI is in no mood to allow Harbhajan to escape with just an 11-match IPL ban.

BCCI President Sharad Pawar says, "Separate decisions need to be taken for IPL and Team India."

Although the man appointed by the BCCI to conduct an inquiry has been quoted as saying that Harbhajan's history of disciplinary problems won't be taken into consideration, CNN-IBN has learnt that strong voices in the BCCI want Harbhajan to be denied the chance to play for Team India for a while too. The bowlers constant flirtations with trouble have caused a lot of heart-burn.

BCCI Chief Administration Officer, Ratnakar Shetty says, "Harbhajan has stepped out of line too often."

Clearly, Harbhajan is cornered and unlike the battle against Andrew Symonds in Australia, this time around, there seems to be little support. He has meekly accepted the decision and urged the BCCI to continue backing him.

"The board has always been behind me. I hope that this time too, they will back me," he said.

The BCCI has appointed Commissioner Sudhir Nanavati has 15 days to take a final decision and it will be the longest two weeks in Harbhajan's choppy career.
