ALUVA: Both the LDF and UDF camps flayed Government Chief Whip P C George for his controversial letter written to the President and heads of the judiciary. “P C George who misused his official position as Chief Whip of the UDF Government should immediately resign from his office as the Chief Whip,” Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan told mediapersons at the Government Guest House here on Sunday. He was referring to the controversial letter written by George to the President and Chief Justices in Supreme Court and Kerala High Court defaming a Vigilance Judge. “George was showing over enthusiasm. Persons with poor intelligence expecting selfish gain, can only make such serious allegations against a judge. George who attacked the judicial system was getting improper and immature advices from some sources,” VS said. Rauf who had been with P K Kunjalikutty for several years was indulged in many wrongful actions. But now Rauf returned with guilty consciousness, as a man of repentance. Rauf was good when he was with P K Kunhalikkutty but he became a notorious criminal when he joined VS, he said. VS hesitated to reveal the names of those friends of Kunhalikutty who helped him to fight against corruption, including the ice cream parlour case.
