HYDERABAD: A terror accused who was allegedly involved in planting a bomb near a temple in the city and who has been under cover for over 10 years, was nabbed by police a few days ago.
However, news came to light only on Wednesday. The 34yearold Mohammed Arifuddin Rehman, a resident of Arman Towers in Saidabad, was an accused in crime number 268/2000. He along with Azam Gori and Syed ABdul Aziz, allegedly planted a tiffin bomb near Hanuman temple at Dilsukhnagar in Feb 2000. However, the bomb did not explode and was subsequently defused. The next year, Arifuddin was arrested for possession of inflammatory material. However, police were unaware of his connection with the previous case. After he was released from jail, Arifuddin left for Saudi Arabia.
