A shot in arm for eye treatment

ANGAMALY: The existence of Little Flower Hospital has turned Angamaly into the “town of visibility”, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Saturday.Oommen Chandy was inaugurating its new ophthalmic block. Chandy recalled that the hospital had ventured into ophthalmology treatment when no hospitals dared to launch it.   Oommen Chandy said that the public and private sectors should work hand-in-hand to  avail the modern treatments for all sections of the people.  Minister for Excise, K Babu inaugurated the Pediatric Ophthalmology Center and Theatre Complex in the new block.  Syro-Malabar Church Major Archbishop Mar George Alanchery presided over the function.
