New Delhi: The Rajasthan Government will open another 500 new industrial training institutes (ITIs) and state placement bureau by the next one and a half years, Education Minister Ghamshyam Tiwari said on Tuesday.
UNI quoted Tiwari as saying that till the installation of the present BJP government in the state there were around 125 ITIs functioning in different parts of the state. Later under the present regime this number had so far gone up to 500.
The government is aiming to take this number up to 1,000 by the end of the next year, he said.
Besides setting up ITIs, the government is also contemplating move to set up placement bureau for facilitating, officially, the placements of technocrats in India and abroad.
On the progress of realisation of targets in enrollments in schools, Tiwari expressed satisfaction over overall change in scenario in education.
For creating awareness for education among people particularly, among women, he would conduct Education yatra in different parts of the state from July 15.
Tiwari also expressed satisfaction over attitude and smooth functioning of the bureaucracy in the state and said that it was working well to implement the policies and programmes of the present BJP Government.
He said that the officers concerned were following orders and instructions from the ministers, development works were being carried out smoothly and the problems and issues raised by the BJP workers were being addressed appropriately.
