New Delhi: 'Fast and Furious 6' has opened as per the expectations and Vin Diesel is clearly the show-stealer. It's interesting to see an actor excelling merely on the basis of his inbuilt style quotient. Vin Diesel doesn't have the best of bodies but the actor has an x-factor which made him stand tall against someone like The Rock. However, one needs to confess that it's really difficult to differentiate between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, especially when there are featured in the same shot, shining armours you see.
Shaven head: Have you ever tried searching Vin Diesel with hair on internet. You will find some photos in sections like 'Hair today, gone tomorrow' or 'Hair Hitler', but Diesel doesn't look even half sexy with hair. As Lata Didi said, 'Meri awaaz hi pehchaan hai (My voice is my identity),' similarly a closely shaven head is this man's USP. He would look like a bulkier imitation of John Travolta with hair.
Ripples on the neck: Who wouldn't get drowned in those ripples! It brings out an entirely new side of Diesel's personality. Habitually, Indians need mythological references before accepting something, so here it is. Diesel was the one who served the goddess Kali in Kalika Purana. How? Well, it's a rippled connection, you need to figure it out yourself, but be sure that there is at least one reference!
The voice: That rumbling voice will remain with you for long even if you don't quite get the accent. It's the intensity of his vocal cords that present him as the man of action. Diesel doesn't speak much but when he speaks you need to listen. Don't lend an ear to him if you want to test his combat skills.
Bad guy, golden heart: His producers will kill him if he would even think of crying on-screen. The film would be doomed, so would his career, but then Diesel is a skillful guy. He won't allow the tears to roll down his eyes but won't refrain himself from going emotional. He finishes the conversation with a perfect poise and leaves the scenario with a clear insight of his inner soul. He is a big bad guy but with a golden heart.
Darling machines: Lesser mortals have a tendency to respect people who are technically strong and Diesel is. He can give you the minute details of a convertible in one breath. He is no Howard Hughes who would kiss his machine to show his love, on the contrary he likes it rough. Be it Dominic Toretto or Xander Cage, the machine (Car, bike, aircraft, submarine etc) is required to pass really difficult tests to win Diesel's love. But, once the machine proves its calibre, Diesel treats it like a princess.
