Jaipur: BJP state president Vasundhara Raje on Wednesday claimed that 40 lakh households in the state are still waiting for a power connection. Speaking at a public rally in Todabhim in Karauli district, Raje said Congress ruled for five decades in the state and was only engaged in self-development.
"Congress did not bother to peep inside a poor person's house and see their living condition. Congress never thought for development and upliftment of the poor and always cared about its own self," she said. Raje blamed the Gehlot government for Gopalgarh firing incident of 2011, in which ten persons were killed and said, the Minority commission held the government responsible for the firing.
Leader of Opposition Gulabchand Kataria, former minister and sitting MLA Rajendra Rathore, former Union minister Kailash Meghwal were among others present on the occasion.
