2 arrested for rape

BANGALORE: A 31-year-old woman, said to be a software professional, was allegedly raped by two men, including her friend, in Adugodi police station limits on Tuesday night. The victim, a native of Kolkata, was staying in a paying guest accommodation at Brindavan Extension in Arakere. The accused, Hasim Raj (27) and Siddesh (25) were arrested within 24 hours of the incident and sent to judicial custody.Siddesh works as a manager at Koko-Bongo Bar and Restaurant at National Games Village commercial complex in Koramangala. The bar was recently raided by the CCB sleuths for illegally running a discotheque.Raj works as a steward at a Punjabi restaurant in MICO Layout. On Tuesday night, the victim along with the two accused had gone to a restaurant in a mall on Residency Road and they all allegedly drank there. The accused offered to drop the victim to her PG in a car and raped her  inside the National Games Village Complex in Koramangala.Later, they dropped to her PG in the wee hours of Wednesday.“The victim, a divorcee and a mother of a 10-year-old boy, came to the city a few months ago and is looking for a job. She claims to be software professional,” the police said.
