Getting your message across is not always as easy as you might think it is. Even if it isn't the same as public speaking, it still needs to be done properly.
Be precise in your language. Euphemisms and acronyms can cause problems unless your audience is familiar with them.
Practice. This may seem obvious, but it isn't. No one gets better without practice.
Look at your audience. Having said that, don't stare at them. They will begin to get nervous.
Know what you are talking about. Too many people aren't as knowledgeable about their subject as they should be.
Wait your turn. Don't interrupt. Not only is it rude, once you interrupt a person's train of thought, they may lose what they were saying.
Be truthful. Lies will most certainly come back to haunt you.
