London: Premier League referees will meet just days before the start of the new season next week to test goal-line technology in stadiums, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger questioning how it will deal with complex situations.
England's top flight will be the first league in world football to use technology to rule on disputed goals.
Referees receive a message on a watch within a second of the ball crossing the line to tell them if Hawk-Eye's cameras have verified that it's a goal.
But at a demonstration at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, Wenger raised concerns about the process - for example when players are fouled before the ball crosses the line.
Referee Anthony Taylor told Wenger that a training day on Monday will be spent working through "anomalies like that".
