With a star-studded team which boasts of last season's top scorer Ranty Martins, expectations are high on United SC but they are yet to perform.

"I appreciate the team management's expectations especially after investing so much on the team. I'm sure the team will start performing to its potential very soon," coach Sanjoy Sen said after the team' s practice session.

Undoubtedly all eyes would be on United's Nigerian acquistion Martins, and Costa Rican World Cupper Carlos Hernadez to deliver the goods.

However, the team will be missing the services of its star goalkeeper Subrata Pal owing to injury.

Even India defender Gourmangi Singh is uncertain with fever and Sen hinted at Sangram Mukherjee and Dhanachandra Singh being the two possible replacements.
