London: Brazil attacker Neymar has done a u-turn by insisting that he wishes to remain at Santos, instead of making a move to Chelsea.
The 19-year-old impressed in his maiden performance in England when he bagged a brace in his country's victory over Scotland at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The youngster, a long-term Chelsea target, has since admitted that he would welcome a move to Stamford Bridge.
Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro de Oliveira has attempted to discourage the teenager from making a move away from the club, and the player himself has now expressed his intention to stay in his homeland.
"I really enjoyed my day off in England after the match against Scotland," he was quoted as saying at a press conference.
"I got the chance to spend a day with my family and visited some nice places.
"I never had the intention to stay in London though. I had a nice walk through the city, but Brazil is where my family is. I'm very happy in Brazil at Santos. I hope to stay put for a long time. I have an ongoing contract and feel very well here."
He added: "I still have no desire to play in Europe; I am happy in Brazil and at Santos.
"My only real happiness is in Brazil and proposals from clubs are not enough to get me to move."
