London: Former midfielder Ryan Giggs will be in charge for Manchester United's pre-season training on Monday as newly appointed manager Louis van Gaal is still at the FIFA World Cup with the Netherlands reaching the semi-finals.
Giggs, who was announced as Van Gaal's No.2, will be assisted by Dutchman Albert Stuivenberg, who has just been added to the new look backroom staff.
The Welsh winger was in charge of the final four games of last season for the Old Trafford club following the sacking of David Moyes.
Van Gaal will officially takeover at the record English league champions once Holland's World Cup involvement is over.
The Dutchman has already brought in highly rated Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera, Southhampton youngster Luke Shaw, Frans Hoek and Marcel Bout to Old Trafford as he continues to re-mould the set-up.
United's players who did not feature at the World Cup will return to the Aon Training Complex in Carrington for the start of pre-season training.
