David Moyes is reportedly set to reignite his interest in Benfica star Nicolas Gaitan, despite reports they are unwilling to sell him.
Manchester: Manchester United boss David Moyes is reportedly set to reignite his interest in Benfica star Nicolas Gaitan, despite reports they are unwilling to sell this summer window.
The Argentinian has spent three years in Portugal after moving from Boca Juniors and enjoyed a fine season as Benfica finished as runners-up in the Europa League, Portuguese League and Portuguese Cup.
United have held a long-standing interest in Gaitan and A Bola claim that new boss Moyes has been tracking his progress and could make an offer once the transfer window opens.
Jose Iribarren, the player's agent, has confirmed he is aware of the rumours - although he has made it clear Gaitan does not want to burn his bridges with Benfica to force a move.
