Liverpool: Liverpool have completed the signing of Spanish forward Luis Alberto from Sevilla on an unspecified long-term contract.
The 20-year-old Alberto has played for Spain at several different youth levels and spent last season on loan at Barcelona "B," scoring 11 goals and providing 17 assists in 38 appearances.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says "we are all delighted that Luis has decided to join Liverpool," adding "I look forward to working with him to develop his talent and he joins a group of exciting young players at our club."
Alberto says he was surprised at Liverpool's interest in him, but had no doubts about accepting its offer.
Alberto, who can play anywhere along the attacking line, has passed a medical.
