Kolkata: In an embarrassing organisational goof up in the run up to Argentina's International friendly against Venezuela, some big hoardings in the city are carrying the pictures of Paraguay players, instead of Venezuelans, along with star attraction Lionel Messi and his team.
Ironically, the organisers of the September 2 big match -- Celebrity Management Group -- have no idea about the faux pas.
The promotional hoardings for the match, show a life size cutout of Messi at the centre, the Argentine sqaud on his left and the Paraguay squad, in white and red jersey, on his right.
But the big-hearted Venezuelans, who finished ahead of the two time world champions by being fourth in Copa America, opted to overlook the glitch.
A humble Venezuela coach Cesar Farias termed it quite normal in Latin American context.
"It's a normal situation. We are traditionally called Cinderella team in South America. But it's a team that have various possibilities. In recent years, we have been able to grow in the leagues of Argentina, France, Mexico. We also did well in the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009.
"Recently in Copa America we had a very good presentation. So these things don't bother us. We are aware that somethings are not taken seriously," he said.
But the organisers instead of admitting the goof-up said they did not have any knowledge about it.
When contacted, CMG executive director Bhaswar Goswami disconnected the line, saying 'I've no idea about it."
