New Delhi: Incoming manager Guus Hiddink has told Chelsea to hijack Manchester United's bid for Netherlands' play-maker Wesley Sneijder according to reports from Daily Mail.
The midfielder who has been unsettled after the arrival of Inter Milan manager Leonardo, has been courted by Europe's top clubs, among which include Manchester City, Manchester United.
With United identifying Snijder as a direct replacement for the retired Paul Scholes and Alex Ferguson expressing his liking for the Dutchman, the 30 million pound move seems on course but Chelsea have other plans.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich reportedly sanctioned a 90 million pound transfer kitty to bring the best players to Stamford Bridge and Guus Hiddink is insistent to bring his fellow countryman to Chelsea.
Sneijder had earlier flown to the United States to wife Yolanthe to decide on his future, after growing speculation of him leaving the 2009-10 Champions League winners Inter Milan.
