Clairefontaine: France will start from scratch at home to Ireland on Wednesday despite holding a 1-0 lead from their World Cup playoff first leg, said coach Raymond Domenech.
"We will start the game as if nothing has been done yet and actually nothing has been done yet," Domenech told reporters on the eve of the return match in Paris.
"They (the players) are all desperate to win the game, there is no need for me to excite them. I won't tire them out with words, they must be tired out by the game only."
Striker Thierry Henry, aiming to qualify for his fourth successive World Cup finals, agreed with Domenech that the players must concentrate fully on the 90 minutes ahead.
"We have been suffering for two years to try and qualify," said the France captain.
"We won the first leg but we still have a battle to fight and we must stay focused."
France won Saturday's first leg in Dublin thanks to a deflected second-half goal from Nicolas Anelka.
