Manchester: Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is preparing to sit down and have a word on his future at the club with manager Louis van Gaal.
The Spanish custodian wants to win back his place in starting team after his desired move to Real Madrid collapsed on the last day of the transfer window. He will talk to his Dutch coach on Wednesday, reports goal.com.
The 24-year-old will be in Manchester on Wednesday after being in Spain's squad that won 1-0 against Macedonia on Tuesday.
He has not played a single match for United this season and van Gaal had said he was not in the right frame of mind to play.
"In spite of the fact that David de Gea wants to play, we think that it is better for him (not to)," van Gaal had explained earlier after dropping the custodian.
"For me it's not normal that (Sergio Romero) is playing but I think in circumstances as this, it is the best decision."
But after the failure of his move to Madrid, De Gea now is in contention to play against Liverpool on Saturday in an English Premier League match.
De Gea said he is ready to go out and play for United after Spain's victory.
"I felt good. I really liked playing again," De Gea said after the match on Tuesday.
"Now I have to keep working, and I hope to be lucky now with my club. All of the support I received is very important to me. I have great friends and I'm very grateful to all of them."
"I will do in the future exactly what I do now: to be calm, and to keep working and improving. Definitely, I'm enjoying football. I'm happy."
