Alia Bhatt, who welcomed her daughter Raha in 2022, recently recalled her ‘firsts’ as a mother in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha and revealed her first reaction to finding out that she was pregnant. The actress announced her pregnancy in June 2022 and took everyone by surprise.
In our chat, Alia revealed that the first time she found out about her pregnancy, she teared up. She revealed that she was on set when she found out that she was pregnant and started to cry happy tears. Alia said, “I was on set, I started crying. Khushi ke aansu."
When Alia Bhatt was asked about her reaction to seeing Raha for the first time, the actress promptly responded, “Magic." Alia also recalled her reaction to Raha’s milestone moment of saying her first words. She said, “I’m trying to remember because it was some time ago. Of course, excitement. I must have definitely shrieked and screamed. Yeah, it must’ve been some sort of shriek from my side."
The actress also mentioned that her morning routine has changed since becoming a mother. She said, “Actually, now the process is that Raha comes and wakes us up. The first reaction is to look at her face and give her a big hug. She literally walks in the room and wakes us up."
Alia Bhatt married Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony held at their Mumbai home. The couple then welcomed their daughter Raha in November 2022. Ranbir and Alia officially introduced Raha to the media and the world last Christmas and the blue-eyed baby girl left everyone gushing over her cuteness.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in Jigra. The film is directed by Vasan Bala and features Vedang Raina of The Archies fame as Alia’s brother. Alia told News18 Showsha that Vasan Bala is an “edgy" and “cool" director. She also said that she had a “seamless" working relationship with Vedang Raina.
The much-awaited film will be released on October 11 this year. Alia said that the film is currently in the post-production stage. Interestingly, Alia is not only headlining the film but is also a co-producer along with Karan Johar.
Alia Bhatt also recently signed Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Alia will reunite with Ranbir on screen after Brahmastra Part 1 and with Vicky after Raazi. She will also reportedly headline a YRF spy-verse film with Sharvari Wagh. The plot details of the film have been kept under wraps.
She also recently ventured into the world of storytelling by launching her first children’s book, Ed Finds A Home. The book was launched under Alia’s brand, Ed-a-Mamma, which focuses on sustainable wear for children.
