The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) declared the UPSSSC PET result 2023 on January 29. Candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) can check their results through the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission at upsssc.gov.in.
The UPSSSC PET 2023 exam was held across the state on October 28 and 29, 2023, at over 1,000 centres in 35 districts. The examination was conducted in two shifts— 10 am to noon and 3 pm to 5 pm. More than 20 lakh candidates applied for the exam, but over 7 lakh applicants did not appear for the examination.
Aspirants should note that qualifying for the UP PET is necessary to join the Group C recruitment in Uttar Pradesh. Those who pass the preliminary exam will then be eligible to sit for the main examination. If a candidate qualifies for both the preliminary and main exams, they will have to appear for the interview process. Following the interview round, document verification will take place, and then the final selection of candidates will be done.
UPSSSC PET Result 2023: How to check
Step 1. Candidates need to go to the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission at upsssc.gov.in to check their PET results.
Step 2. Click on the PET Result 2023 link available on the homepage.
Step 3. After clicking on the given link, candidates will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4. Key in your login credentials and click on the submit button.
Step 5. Once done, your UPSSSC PET 2023 result will be presented on the screen.
Step 6. Download the result and save a hard copy of the same for future use.
The UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) comprises 100 multiple-choice questions. It is important to note that for every incorrect answer, a negative marking is applied. The syllabus includes topics from General Science, Social Science, the Indian Constitution, the Indian Economy, Geography, and the History of India.
Furthermore, the provisional answer key was issued on November 11, 2023. Candidates dissatisfied with the tentative answer key were given an opportunity to raise objections to PET questions. Based on the objections raised, the Commission published the PET final answer key on January 24, 2024, and the UPSSSC PET Result 2023 is expected to be announced soon. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard by the commission.
