During the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Board Class 12 examination, a significant incident surfaced at Mahagaon Inter College in Kaushambi on Tuesday. The absence of the external centre administrator was discovered by the UP Board Secretary, Dibyakant Shukla, during his inspection. Following this, immediate action was taken, and the administrator was removed from duty, with instructions given for legal repercussions against them.

Additionally, thorough inspections were conducted at approximately a dozen examination centres in Kaushambi. Those centres found to have deficiencies were instructed to rectify the issues promptly. Secretary Dibyakant Shukla personally oversaw inspections of the control rooms at the DIOS offices in Prayagraj and Kaushambi. Immediate directives were issued to address any shortcomings identified in these control rooms. Furthermore, a thorough investigation of the storage room at Durgavati Inter College in Osa, Kaushambi, was also conducted.

Secretary Dibyakant Shukla commenced his inspections by visiting the DIOS office in Prayagraj during the first shift. Here, he spent considerable time monitoring the control room operations. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of examination centres until March 9th. In the second shift, the Secretary and his team visited Kaushambi and inspected the Mahagaon Inter College Examination Centre. During this inspection, the absence of the external centre administrator was noted.

It’s essential to note that before the commencement of examinations, the strong room is opened only in the presence of the centre administrator, external centre administrator, and static magistrate. All three parties possess keys, and the question paper packets are opened only with their consent.

Vinod Mishra, the spokesperson for National Inter College Bharwari, was appointed as the external centre administrator at Mahagaon Inter College. Expressing dissatisfaction over the administrator’s absence, Secretary Dibyakant Shukla instructed the DIOS to closely monitor the examination centre. Alongside removing the external centre administrator, legal action was ordered.

Late into the night, Secretary Dibyakant Shukla also inspected the storage room at Durgavati Inter College, Osa. Before this, inspections of the strong rooms at several examination centres were conducted. The control room at the District School Inspector office in Kaushambi was also scrutinized, with the Secretary expressing dissatisfaction with its arrangements. Immediate rectifications were made to address any identified shortcomings, with instructions issued for 24-hour surveillance.

During the entire inspection, Regional Secretary Mrs Vibha Mishra, Additional Secretary of the Board Mr. Satyendra Kumar Singh, and Deputy Secretary Mr. Devvrat Singh were present to ensure thorough oversight.
