Aspiring engineers often dream of studying at prestigious institutes like the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), and admission requires passing the highly competitive JEE exam. While it is considered one of the toughest exams in the world, many students not only clear the exam but also secure top ranks. One such success story is that of Parth Laturia, who secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 3 in the JEE exam, scoring an impressive 350 out of 360.

Parth hails from Nanded, Maharashtra. He excelled academically from a young age, achieving a perfect 10.0 GPA in his Class 10 exams from Gyan Mata Vidya Vihar in 2016. Later, he completed his Class 12 education at Disha Delphi Public School, Kota, scoring 95.2%. His hard work and dedication helped him achieve full marks in Mathematics and 115 out of 120 in Physics and Chemistry in the JEE exam.

After clearing JEE, Parth joined IIT Bombay, where he pursued a B.Tech degree in Computer Science. Following his undergraduate studies, he completed a master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from Princeton University, USA. Parth attributes his success to consistent guidance from his teachers and daily revision, which helped him grasp concepts better. In addition to attending coaching classes, he dedicated 5 to 6 hours every day to self-study.

Parth’s parents, Satish and Seema Laturia, both doctors, played a crucial role in supporting him throughout his journey. His father is a general physician, while his mother is a paediatrician.

While studying at IIT Bombay, Parth also gained valuable experience through internships. He worked as a Data Science intern at the Bank of Baroda and later as a research intern at Indiana University Bloomington. After graduation, he joined Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Deposit division as an associate and now works as a Senior Associate in the company.

Another notable achiever from Maharashtra is Nitish Totla, who secured second rank in the JEE in 2008 and received the IIT Bombay Academic Excellence Award. He also won a National Gold Medal in the Chemistry Olympiad.
